Emergency Response Trailer

Specifications

General:

• The trailer must be fitted with 15” wheels.
• All metal parts to be protected with a durable weather proof coating.
• The trailer must be completely water proof when closed.
• A drain plug must be fitted.
• The trailer must be fitted with two jerry cans in lockable brackets on the exterior of the trailer.
• The trailer must be fitted with a spare wheel that can be secured with a padlock.
• The lid must be split into a front halve and a rear halve that opens to the front and the rear respectively. At the top of the lids reflectors must be fitted- red on the rear halve and white on the front halve.
• Each trailer must be supplied with a manufacturers certificate and relevant registration documentation.
• The trailer must be fitted with 4 off LED blue flasher lights that will flash when the lights of the towing vehicles is switched on. There will be a bypass switch on the inside of the trailer to switch the lights off.

Inside the trailer:

• The trailer must be equipped with dedicated storage racks for 5 anti riot shields with a dedicated charger and electrical harnas for each shield. The shields will be charged via the 220 VAC electrical input of the trailer or via the generator when it is switched on.
• There must be dedicated storage racks for the following collapsible traffic signs:
• STOP
• Keep Left
• Keep Right
• Crime scene info sign.
• There must be dedicated storage brackets for 2 dual luminaire flood lights. Each flood light will be fitted with 2 x 20 Watt LED flood lights complete with a 3 meter power cord fitted with a 16 Ampère 3 pin plug.
• There must be a dedicated storage space for 20 Reflective jackets. The reflective jackets shall be clearly marked DCS-EST on the front of the jackets.
• There must be 15 x 3D cell LED Maglites fitted inside the trailer. The Maglites shall be clearly marked DCS-EST. The required 45 x D cell batteries shall also be supplied.
• 15 x Red Traffic Wands to fit the Maglites shall also be supplied.
• One Aluminium expandable barrier of Registered Design by Poly Products will be securely installed inside the trailer. The aluminium cross bars of the expandable barrier will have Red and Yellow reflective material on both sides.
• One Rotomax measuring wheel must be securely installed inside the trailer.
• Each trailer must be supplied with 10 rolls of red and white barrier tape.
• A collapsible ladder, able to extend to 3.4m, must be securely mounted inside the trailer.
• A “Metabo” (or similar quality) angle grinder, 1700Watt with a 150 mm cutting disc, must be included.
• Each trailer must be supplied with a heavy duty bolt cutter- “Record” or similar quality.

Electrical system.

• The trailer shall be fitted with a 2.2 kVA petrol generator. There will be an hour meter installed to ensure the generator is serviced at correct intervals.
• The generator will have adequate ventilation and will be mounted on anti-vibration mountings.
• There will be two water proof electrical outlets on the outside of the trailer.
• The trailer will be fitted with a 16 Ampère electrical input plug for charging from a 220VAC outlet.
• The trailer wil be fitted with a electrical distribution box with an Earth leakage and trip switches for the relevant electrical circuits in the trailer. The electrical system will automatically select the input power from either generator or the external input. External input will get preference.
